iOS 8 Battery Life Problems: It Can Never Work Out Between Apple and Batteries, But Here are Some Tips Anyway

Apple and its products are known for their short battery life, Samsung even made fun of it in their commercials. Now, after the iOS 8.1 update, comments from owners are flooding their forums about the same old problem.

Apple just released iOS 8.1 with bug fixes and iOS 8 devices offer users features like Continuity with OS X Yosemite-based Macs.Tech Times wrote. It also added support for Apple Pay, allowing iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners to make payments via the NFC-equipped iPhones.

Also caused by iOS 8.1 is a battery drain issue that a lot of  iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users are complaining about since installing the update.

A lot of users also experienced fast battery draining with iOS 8.1 on an iPhone 6 Plus. After the update started to run, the device is physically warm to the touch, the battery was losing at a highly unusual rate and you can basically count with it at how fast the battery is draining.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, Apple threads are starting to fill up with complaints about bad iOS 8.1 battery life. iPhone users, and iPhone 5 users in particular, are seeing unusual battery drain after replacing their previous update with iOS 8.1. One user told Gotta Be Mobile that his iPhone 5 battery life has jumped from "61% to 59%, 31% to 29% and 16% to 14% during charge and or discharge."

Other iPhone users are noticing odd movements with battery life, so it does not seem isolated.

Here's the solution.

According to International Business Times, users have to go to my settings and "reset all settings." Apparently users who experience the fast battery drain might have a lot of system programs crashing in the background. Once those are reset, battery life will return to normal.

Another solution is to perform a force reboot. To do this, hold the Power button and Home button down at the same time until the device restarts and you see an Apple logo. You can also check out location-based reminders and background refresh settings, which is known to drain battery life and make sure that they haven't turned themselves on, as many users have reported this issue.

These solutions work with many users. You might want to try some of it to fully enjoy the new update.
