iOS 8 Update Problems for iPhone 4: Easy Ways to Deal with Issues
After the release of new operating system for handheld Apple device, a lot has been said about how it is not the best thing. From slow adoption rates to huge security concerns, people are talking of all sorts of things and it seems Apple is taking all of it very seriously. That is precisely why their developers in California are soon going to launch the 8.1 with security patches, bug fixes and many other updates.
It seems like Apple iPhone 4S users face the maximum number of problems with this upgrade. Notably it is the last device in iPhone range to get the software update, but it seems like the hardware is not ready to handle everything. Analysts suggest that this phone was never prepared to deal with such a heavy update especially due to low storage space in some variants and slower processor. Now apparently a lot of iPhone 4S users have upgraded to iOS 8 and await support.
According to Mac World, there is not a lot you can do about it till 8.1 is rolled out. It is far better to wait for the update if you haven't upgraded already. Use iTunes with the help of the computer, which will save time and storage space on the phone.
On the other hand, if you have already upgraded to iOS 8 on 4S, battery will be a huge issues. In that case, save the power by removing all unwanted applications especially those running in the background. Turning off cellular data and 3G when not required will also save huge amount of power. Similarly, GPS, automatic synchronization and other such services should also be turned off for better performance.
A lot of iPhone 4S users have talked about random reboot especially when phone is warm. To deal with it, go to 'Settings' and reset all settings just after the upgrade for better results. And if your system keyboard hangs every now and then, go to iCloud settings and turn off the Documents and Data options. This should ideally solve problems for most users. However, you need to upgrade to iOS 8.1 for permanent solutions.
