'The Good Wife Season 6' Episode 5 Spoilers: Alicia Faces a Familiar Foe; Lockhart Files Might Get Hacked; State Attorney Campaign Continues
CBS' award-winning legal and political drama is set to tackle "Shiny Objects" in its sixth installment's episode 5. International Business Times reported that the "The Good Wife Season 6" episode 5 will be showcasing a court battle between Alicia Florrick and her familiar enemy Elsbeth Tascioni.
In the show's last episode, Julianna Marguiles' lead character, Alicia Florrick has made the anticipated decision to run for the State Attorney position. But if the series' avid viewers expects for a candidacy-themed episode, that will not be on the episode 5.
"The Good Wife Season 6" episode 5's 18-second teaser showed the face-off between two brilliant female lawyers, Florrick and Tascioni. The two will be battling about the case of a fired female CEO who filed for a sex discrimination suit.
The short teaser showed Tascioni's excitement in seeing Florrick inside the coutroom but Alicia is clearly not happy to see Elsbeth again. Good Wife's lead female character will also play some trick on Tascioni to deflect the latter's attention on the case.
Episode 5 synopsis also stated that "Meanwhile, the Florrick/Agos/Lockhart firm are in panic mode when a hacker seizes control of their files and threatens to delete them if a ransom demand isn't met." This is clearly a problem for the leading legal firm as their trade secrets are threatened to come out if they will not be able to address the hackers.
Florrick's campaign for State Attorney has also some screen time in "The Good Wife Season 6" episode 5. Peter Florrick, Alicia's husband, will show his disagreement with the lady attorney's decision to run for State Attorney.
Peter, as the current Governor of Illinois and once a disgrace State Attorney, will tell Alicia, "I'm the Governor and you are asking me for a favour." As a woman of bravery and intelligence, Alicia will reply, "I may need you Peter but you need me too."
Hollywood Hills reported that Keith Eisner and Fred Toye written and directed the upcoming "The Good Wife's" Season 6 fifth episode, which will be aired on Oct. 19, Sunday at 8pm on CBS.
Aside from the intense upcoming scenes in "The Good Wife Season 6" episode 5, the show is reportedly looking a 40-year old actor who will play a role described as "one part Hollywood, two parts political." The wanted actor will be playing as a media campaign specialist and will appear on the series' ninth episode.
