Kesha: Dr. Luke Molested Me; Producer Calls Brad Paisley, Ludacris' 'Rising Star' Co-Judge Liar, Extorter
Popularly known as Kesha, Kesha Rose Sebert has recently filed a lawsuit against her long-time music producer Lukasz Sebastian "Dr. Luke" Gottwald.
The 27-year-old "Die Young" singer claimed Dr. Luke sexually, verbally, physically, and emotionally abused her for 10 years.
As she stated in her lawsuit, Kesha claimed Dr. Luke removed her defenses for several occasions by forcing her to use alcohol and drugs before sexually abusing her.
Kasha blamed the abuse on her eating disorder and added Dr. Luke told her she is a "fat f---ing refrigerator" who is not that pretty, not that talented and was just lucky to have him as her producer.
In one occasion, as Kesha claimed, she was attacked by Dr. Luke at his Malibu house by "violently thrashing his arms at her" and she had to hide in the mountains after escaping by running barefoot down PCH.
Kesha is asking a judge to let her out of her contract with Luke.
According to Kesha's lawyer, Mark Geragos, the lawsuit is Kesha's wholehearted effort to redeem her music career and personal freedom after ten years of being victimized mentally, emotionally and sexually by Dr. Luke.
"The facts presented in our lawsuit paint a picture of a man who is controlling and willing to commit horrible acts of abuse in an attempt to intimidate an impressionable, talented, young female artist into submission for his personal gain," Geragos told TMZ.
The lawyer added that Kesha is currently focused on "moving her life and her career beyond this terrible time."
In response, Dr. Luke said Kesha is a liar who is trying to get away with her legally binding contract with him by fabricating allegations against him.
Hours after Kesha filed a lawsuit against him, Dr. Luke filed a counter-lawsuit accusing Kesha's new management firm and mother, Pebe, of engineering a pack of lies.
He also accused Kesha of trying to extort him by asking him to release her from her recording contract; otherwise, she will to taint his reputation with the help of a blogger who launched a "Free Kesha" website.
According to Dr. Luke's lawyer, Christine Lepera, Kesha's lawsuit is part of "a campaign of publishing outrageous and untrue statements."
Currently, Kesha is serving as a judge of the ABC singing competition "Rising Star" with Brad Paisley and Ludacris.
Recently, the United Kingdom's ITV canceled its version of the show, Deadline reported.
Meanwhile, a singer-songwriter of the American version of "Rising Star," Deedra Ervin, is set to appear at The BANK Coffee House in Onancock on Oct. 17, Friday, Delmarva Now reported.
