Avatar 2 Release Date Confirmed: Return to Pandora, Sequel 3, and More
When the original extraterrestrial science fiction Avatar was released some five years ago, it was one of the best things movie buffs had ever witnessed. Nobody had the vision of such a concept on a far away planet better than James Cameron and that is why now fans are delighted at the anticipation of its sequels.
If you already do not know, this will be trilogy and Cameron has already talked about Avatar 2 and 3 being thought of. The script is being finalized and Avatar 2, called 'Return to Pandora', will be released in December 2016. Apparently, TSG Entertainment is also eager to release the third and final segment one year after that in December 2017.
Obviously, it is a lot of time but that is not keeping the fans away from digging more into the plot, cast, and several other details on the same. Cameron plans to shoot both these films together after finalizing the script, which will help create a better experience for the viewers with consistency in storyline and characters.
According to latest reports, this time the movie plot will shift to ocean world and life on Pandora and how it affects the Na'vi home world. The inhabitants have already saved their planet in last installment for Avatar but now they must prepare themselves for such external threat while new internal villains emerge too. Cameron is enjoying complete freedom as far as the plot of concerned.
While there is no doubt that the coming sequels will be visual spectacle, a lot is expected from the technology front and how 3D creates something different this time. In terms of the cast, nothing has been finalized beyond the main characters including Zoe and Sam (also in alien life form now after a mystical and magical life transformation process). There are no further details on any other cast members though.
The trilogy is expected to gross a huge total after already scoring close to $3 billion with just one movie. With such huge money involved, fans expect to experience something out-of-the-world with the franchise.
