Legend of Zelda Video Game: Coming in 2015 for Nintendo Wii-U Know its Details Right Here
Just after 2011's Legend of Zelda franchise's latest release, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, a new sequel is set to release in the coming year of 2015 exclusively for the Nintendo Wii-U.
This will be the first Legend of Zelda game to be featured on Nintendo's latest game console, the Wii-U. There is still no title given for the game, but Eiji Aonuma Nintendo announced a few details about the upcoming game.
Unlike the past Legend of Zelda games, the new 2015 game will feature an "open-world". This is a fresh break from the traditional linear and set path for Link throughout the whole game. Players will have a choice on where to go and how to go there. The "open-world" feature isn't new and is, in fact, widely used for some popular games such as Bethesda's Skyrim and Fallout series. It isn't instant however. In the new Legend of Zelda game, there will still be boundaries early in the game that prevents the player from passing through. It is up to the player which boundaries he will face and pass through first. With Nintendo adapting the feature in the new game, it can give a refreshing and complex experience for both seasoned Legend of Zelda fans and new gamers alike. Aonuma also said that the traditional powerful monsters and enemies are still a core feature in the new Legend of Zelda game. Players will still have to lookout for these monsters while travelling and exploring the open-world. This is, maybe, to prevent players from exploring past their character's abilities and skills current limit.
An industry watcher predicted that this new Legend of Zelda game may help Nintendo get back to their feet. This is because of the poor sales of the Nintendo Wii-U. The consoles sold, 2.72 million, did not surpass Nintendo's forecasted sales of 9 million consoles. Legend of Zelda fans are known to buy the console whenever a new game from the franchise is out, especially if it is an exclusive.
So far the trailers and screenshots look good for the new game in the franchise. If all goes well, this will certainly boost Nintendo's fortune and sales.
