Sony PlayStation TV: Sony Recently Revealed that they are Releasing PlayStation TV
Calling all serious gamers out there, great news because Sony recently revealed that they are releasing PlayStation TV to be available in the market in both US and Canada this coming October 14, 2014. Along with it comes a whopping number of 700 games that you could already play.
This new gaming console was already mentioned by the company last E3 conference in June. The beauty of this new gear is that owners of PlayStation 3 could still use it along with PS 1 and PSP via Song PS Now, which is their game streaming feature.
PS TV actually has a lot of similarities to Apple TV. There are also music and video streaming that the users would love. There are movies and TV shows that you can easily access using this device. We would like to say that the price of $99 is reasonable for this one although an additional $40 will be required from you because you will still need to have the DualShock 3 and a controller but still, it is worth it.
Here is another package that you might be interested, for only $139, you can also get the gaming console along with the controller, an 8 GB memory card plus the Lego Movie game. This is one of the best deals that you could get once it is released.
In Japan, this device is actually called the Vita TV and it has already been available in stores since last year. There are not a lot of games included in it though unlike the ones that they are releasing in the US and Canada this year.
Sony delayed its release in the States and Canada for a reason and it's mostly so that they can improve the gaming console with more gaming features. Amazon released their same product called Fire TV this year but they only have 100 games. You would notice that Sony has definitely leveled up their game with the number of gaming services they have for their players.
On the other hand, no news is heard from Microsoft that they will release a console just like with Sony's.
