'The Voice' NBC Season 7, Taylor John Williams Smooth Blind Audition Performance of Kanye West Song 'Heartless', Watch Here (VIDEO)
"The Voice" Season 7 premiered this week on Monday and Tuesday and the 'blind auditions' have been very impressive. One of the highlights so far has been Taylor John Williams performing his take on Kanye West's hit song "Heartless". You can check out his powerful performance above.
The 23-year-old Portland native had a tough choice to make between coaches Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani, but in the end, chose to go with Team Gwen which seems like a good fit. Williams seems like a guy who will take chances on doing unique arrangements of songs which always make things more interesting. Hopefully he can be one of those contestants this year. He has a good chance of going very far.
Season 7 features new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams, along with long-time coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
"The Voice" Season 7 will have many surprises and special guests including Taylor Swift being announced as a guest mentor for all team, just as Chris Martin (Coldplay) was last season.
During the 'battle rounds' country group Little Big Town will be helping out Team Blake. Adam Levine, has asked the iconic Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks to help his team out. The Fleetwood Mac member is about to bring her decades of show business experience to the NBC series.
Pharrell Williams is enlisting one R&B powerhouse singer/songwriter Alicia Keys to help his team pick the right songs in order to win American votes. Gwen Stefani is keeping the mentoring all in the family as she will bring on husband Gavin Rossdale. Rossdale is the lead singer of Bush and he has also had a very successful career as a solo artist. It will be interesting to see what advice Gavin can give to Stefani's team.
"The Voice" has become the highest rated singing competition show on television, overtaking "American Idol" and the "X Factor" which recently got cancelled. The hit NBC show has produced singers such as Cassadee Pope (Season 3), Danielle Bradbery (Season 4), Christina Grimmie (Season 6) and more.
You can check out the next round of 'blind auditions' for Season 7 of "The Voice" continuing Monday on NBC.
