Foo Fighters New Album Creating A Musical Map All Over America: News, Updates, Guest Stars and Release Date

The Foo Fighters new album name is Sonic Highways, and it definitely explains itself. Why? Because each song is recorded in a different City.

The band has travelled all over America, meeting different people, working on different studios and invited different musicians to help pitch in on their new album. It is definitely a unique and cool way to record an album, don't you think? Well, Foo Fighters were always out of the ordinary. Even HBO thinks so!

While they are recording for their eighth studio album, HBO follows and films them as they are the stars to a new mini-series. A showcase of all their adventures, inside look on the local studios and local musicians of the different cities across the country.

There have been many reported stars that are said to be guests on the show, as well as part of the new songs in the album. Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie, Joe Walsh from The Eagles, Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick and even Preservation Hall Jazz Band-all these people have been confirmed in helping the band make musical history.

Although the songs were recorded in different studios, almost all of the songs were written in Los Angeles. The goal of the band was to experience a new place, learning and experiencing new studios and bringing in musicians that they would want to work with. For example, when they went to Seattle, they brought in Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie to join them in.

In a recent interview, the band's bassist, Nate Mendel, revealed that fans will be expecting something new from the band. He said that the songs will not be as traditional as usual.
