NCIS Season 12 Spoilers: Diane Neal Set to Return for Upcoming Season
NCIS is returning for a 12th season this September and the latest news is that actress Diane Neal is seat to return as Abigail Borin who was a recurring character in the previous season. Actress Pauley Perrette who plays forensic analyst Abby Sciuto on the show, revealed through her twitter account the return of Neal.
"LOOK WHO'S ON #NCIS SET!!! @DianeNeal It's Abby and Abby!!! Yay! Love!" Tweeted Perrette.
In the previous season, Abigail Borin is a Coast Guard Investigative Service member who assists the NCIS in investigating a bombing on an oil rig. In the same episode she said that she would like to apply to NCIS hinting her return, and possible permanent membership in the upcoming season 12.
In other casting news, it's been reported that actress Leslie Hope will make more appearances as SecNav Sarah Porter starting from the episode titled "Choke Hold" which will air by the middle of October. Stephanie Jacobsen has also signed a deal making her a series regular in the show as FBI Agent Leia Pendegast. Actor Adam Campbell will make frequent appearances in flashbacks as a young Dr. Mallard.
For the season premiere episode titled "Twenty Clicks," it's been revealed that Gibbs (played by Mark Hamon) and McGee (played by Sean Murray) will now travel to Russia to escort home an NCIS engineer. Things goes south when a Russian mercenary group is trying to hunt them down, forcing them to go off the grid.
NCIS Season 12 premieres on September 23 on CBS.
