Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice latest news: DC movie to premiere on summer 2016 and will feature Lex Luthor, Wonder Woman and Cyborg
Those who have been waiting for any of the latest news of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice can wait no longer! The sequel to the previous Superman movie, Man of Steel, is slated to hit theaters in the summer of 2016.
According to several sources, the Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice movie will take place after the Kryptonian attack on Metropolis in Man of Steel and that everyone iconic red-caped superhero will be facing trouble against the US Government because of these events. Uh-oh. Even Batman, played by Ben Affleck, will be holding Superman, played still by Henry Cavill, will be holding the Man of Steel accountable for the damage and loss of lives during the event. But don't fret as it would see that the troublesome events would seemingly lead to an unlikely partnership and the eventual gathering of heroes many a fan knows today as the Justice League.
Familiar faces will also be making a comeback in the Batman vs Superman movie such as Amy Adam, who will reprise her role as Clark Kent's love interest Lois Lane. And if there are familiar faces, there will be new faces as well. Those included would be the Amazonian Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman who is played by Gal Gadot, Cyborg to be played by Ray Fisher and Superman's arch nemesis, Lex Luthor played by Jesse Eisenberg.
To prep for the heavy role of Lex Luthor, The Social Network star shares that since he was casted in the Batman vs Superman movie, he had been reading up on the comic books and even went far to watch Gene Hackman's portrayal of Lex Luthor in the old Superman movies by Christopher Reeve. Talk about research and dedication. Although he would not say much about the character in order not to spoil any juicy details, he did manage to share that Lex Luthor was a "complicated and challenging person". However, it would seem that there have been liberties on the character as well such as Luthor going dirty blonde rather than bold and with a rather jittery personality in comparison to the calm yet dangerous persona many have come to love. But that's not all as LexCorp has a adopted a rather modern vibe with young, fresh yet edgy outlook.
In terms of rumors, there have been Batman vs Superman movie rumors going around that there's a possibility that we will be seeing more characters like Aquaman, Robin (or maybe Nightwing) and an unknown Batman villain to pop out but only time will tell.
Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice will be directed by Zack Snyder and its screenplay will be written by Chris Terrio and David Goyer.
Watch out for the Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice movie which will be hitting cinemas on March 25, 2016.
