'It's not you... It's the house' is a common tagline for the successful scary franchise 'Amityville'. Unlike other scary movies that regularly pop out every year or two, this one screech backs to cinema every few years or so, proving to remain that it stays alive. After several sequels and some reboots, now Dimension, is making another reset at the story and giving it the title 'Amityville: The Awakening'.

The trailer for the much-awaited and probably the scariest movie of the decade is currently lurking around the internet and giving many quite a scare. If it scares the hell out of people with just a trailer, we wonder how scared we will be once it finally hit the cinemas. For those too scared to watch the film, here is what it is about:

The movie is still based on the 1979 original franchise. In this plot, we follow the lives of Jennifer (Jason Leigh) and her three children Belle (Bella Thorne), Julie (Mckenna Grace), and James (Cameron Monaghan). Belle is the average teenager who is not so comfortable about the thought of adjusting to a new school. Julie is the cliché lively daughter in moppet stage while James is a bedridden child in coma with injuries, who have been told, might not get better.

In order to get a fresh start, they move on to this new house that later turn on to be haunted. They suddenly find haunting messages on the wall, strange dreams keep occurring, and horrifying supernatural events keep occurring. This film is expected to come out on the UK by the first of January under the Blumhouse Productions.
