'Full House' Spin-Off Show Starring John Stamos & Candace Cameron Bure In The Works with Warner Bros.
Is a "Full House" spin-off finally in the works after all of these years? TV Guide has reported that Warner Bros is in discussion to bring the show back with several of the original cast members.
John Stamos (Uncle Jesse) will star in the upcoming show but other original regulars will include Candace Cameron Bure (D.J.), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy). While not known how often their characters will be present, Bob Saget (Danny) and Dave Coulier (Joey) are will be apart of the show in guest roles at least.
The main question would still be if Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (Michelle) would be apart of the new show, there is no confirmed reports that they have made any type of commitment.
"Full House" aired new episodes from 1987 to 1995 on ABC and is still in heavy syndication today and a favorite show on Nick at Nite.
The cast have all stayed friends over the years and would have no beefs about working together again.
Stamos made an appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live this past year and hinted at a possible reunion show sharing, "We're sort of working on a twist on a sequel. But we don't know if it's going to happen yet or not."
This news can come with some pause though as Stamos also said in 2009 that a Full House movie had been developed. Clearly that never came to light.
Disney Channel brought back ABC's "Boy Meets World" cast stars in a new show titled "Girl Meets World" and has been received with decent ratings success. According to Nick at Nite, repeats of the show in primetime average 1.5 million viewers, up 7 percent from last year. Episodes are also average a 0.4 rating in the key 18-49 demo, up 8 percent from a year ago. The show even has a healthy teen fan base, a demo that wasn't even born when the show ended.
