Google Glass Release Date, Price, Review And Apps: Massive Redesign Of Google Glass Which Moves Projector To The Inside Of The Frame Coming Soon
We have the latest for you on the release date, price, review and apps for Google Glass. There is good news for the fans of Google Glass. A massive redesign of Google Glass might be coming soon. Glass Almanac has unearthed a patent granted to Google engineer Mitchell Heinrich on the 12th of August. This is a very huge development.
The current headsets put the technology on the outside which means that the glasses look like specs with something horrible attached to them. Heinrich design moves the projector to the inside of the frame, with the display set just behind one of the lenses. Where current Glass headsets bellow, 'I've got 1000 Euros of smart specs on my head and I am not good at fighting!' the design in Google's patent will be almost indistinguishable from just a normal pair of specs. This is a good improvement as it could mean an end to Glass-related awkwardness with people wondering whether the person is filming or taking a photo of them.
This is not the first attempt by Google to persuade people to walk around with small computers that are strapped to their heads. Earlier in the year, Google teamed up with a design legend Diane Von Furstenberg to create DVF: Made For Glass a range of Furstenberg-designed headsets which proved to be even more expensive than Standard glass without being any less odd-looking.
Making Glass look better could go a long way to boost its appeal, although it will not magically catapult Glass into the main stream. For that to happen, the price needs to come considerably down. 1,000 Euros for Glass is currently very expensive which could scare away the customers, plus there needs to be a killer app, the 'OMG I must have that!' feature which could change the gadget from an interesting one, to a must-have one. But until all this happen, Glass is Google's way of telling the world you have too much money.
It is said that Google is working with health care and that they are in the process of developing clear Google glass which could be used for health purposes. This could be a Google Glass to watch out for. We will definitely keep you in the loop on any new news about the Google Glass.
