Minecraft 1.8 Update Release Date, News and Features: New Difficulty and Customization Settings 

Fans of the indie game, Minecraft, has been waiting for the 1.8 update since it was announced. This is the longest wait for a major update for the game since the release of 1.7.2 back in October 25, 2013.

The game is known for having numerous updates to ensure gamer interest and satisfaction. Major updates often involve additional features such as horses, new biomes, new flowers, new red-stone blocks, mobs, and new bosses. Minecraft is widely known as bringing back old-school ideas of gaming, particularly in terms of graphics and gameplay, and combining it with new-school sentimentality. Much of the game's success is credited to the ability given to the players to create a world of their own. Some are even known to do replicas of world wonders inside the game.

The Minecraft 1.8 currently has the most snapshots (beta-updates) with 48 which is available to download now. The 1.8 update is said to include new skin customization settings, difficulty settings, new shaders, and achievements. Difficulty will now be set and locked in each world, new creeper and spider shaders applies green and octuple vision when spectating from their perspective, and the skin customization allows access to toggle cape and skin layers.

 Minecraft is an independent video game developed by Mojang and was publicly released as a full game back in 2011. The game then came to mobile devices shortly afterwards. Minecraft 1.8 update has no scheduled release date, but it is suspected by fans that it will be available before the end of 2014 around October or November.
