Nexus 8 Release Date, Rumors and Specs: The Nexus 8 To Move Into 8-Inch Territory As HTC Is Rumored To Have Been Selected As The Manufacturer Of The Nexus 8 Tablet By Google
A lot has been said about the Nexus 8 release date, rumors and specs and we have some more information. This is the device that could be the next Nexus 8 Tablet. The Nexus 7 was the last Android tablet from Google back in 2012. It is said to be the one of the best Android tablets in the market right now, and we are not sure whether the Nexus 8 will perform better.
There were rumors that the Nexus 8 would be announced in July, but it was not announced which left people wondering when the device will be announced or released. It is right now speculated that the Nexus 8 will be released on August 19 in New York City in an event held by HTC. This only tells us that the next Google tablet will be manufactured by HTC.
It is rumored that Google will no longer produce 7-inch tablets rather it will move to 8-inch size. This only means that the Nexus 8 will have an 8-inch display and hence will closely rival iPad mini, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and LG G Pad 8.3. It was earlier rumored that Google would partner with Asus for the new Nexus 8. However, DigiTimes now says that Google has changed its mind and gone for HTC, which is not very experienced in tablet production. This is despite it being rumored to be partnering with LG for a Nexus 8 tablet.
It was earlier mentioned by a Wall Street Journal that the device, which is possibly the Nexus 8, will "be equipped with two back cameras, infrared depth sensors and advanced software that can capture precise three-dimensional images of objects." One other thing that we do not know is that the Nexus 8 will be running the latest new version of Android known as the Android L.
Android Pit reports that the new Nexus 8 will feature a 64-bit processor which follows Apples lead with the iPhone 5S. It is also rumored that Google will no longer use Qualcomm and its Snapdragon chips, rather it will go for Intel's Moorefield which is clocked at 2.33GHz and will also feature a PowerVR G6430 GPU.
This is some good info about the Nexus 8 and be assured that we will keep you informed about any information and updates we get.
