Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 2: Comparison Of Specs Of The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Against The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2
We have witnessed the growth of tablets in the market which has been particularly propelled by Apple's iPad which is very popular. However, Samsung has not experienced a lot of success in the tablet market like it has done with the smartphones. Which one do you prefer between Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2? Well, we'll give you the features and specs then you will make the decision.
When it comes to the design, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 offers great improvements as compared to the previous generations. It has made strides although it still does not match the iPad in its level. The Galaxy tab 2 comes with a 7 inch display but it does not offer much in terms of technology like super AMOLED, it provides multi-touch support though. The screen offers a 600*1024 pixels resolution. When it comes to the Galaxy tab 3, it has the same 7 inch display, and has the same resolution as well.
When it comes to memory, the Galaxy tab 2 offers 32GB internal memory variant with 8GB and 16GB options, while the Galaxy Tab 3 provides support up to 64GB memory card. However, the 32GB internal memory option was removed to sport a lower price.
In terms of camera, Samsung has not decided to make significant changes, especially the rear camera. Both Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 feature the same rear camera, 3.15 megapixels. The previous generation models, ironically, comes with additional aspects like smile detection. The cameras of both tablets support 720p video recording. The biggest difference comes in the front camera where the Galaxy tab 3 uses 1.3 megapixels while the Galaxy tab 2 uses VGA camera.
Connectivity features of both tablets are fairly similar, but the Galaxy Tab 3 has additional features like DLNA, USB host and the dual band Wi-Fi. The other aspects like Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi direct and USB support are all similar in both tablets. The performance of the Galaxy Tab 3 is slightly better as it has a 1.2 GHz dual core while the Galaxy Tab 2 has a 1 GHz dual core. It is said that the remaining Galaxy Tab 2 goes for around $150 while the Galaxy tab 3 will go for around $170.
