The infamous rapper and pop singer are setting out on the 'Monster Tour' which will hit select cities across this U.S. in August (see dates/cities below). The cities currently are New York, Detroit and Los Angeles and now two more nights have been added. It is to be determined if more dates or cities will continue to be added on. For full details on dates and all show information, click HERE.
The two world famous artists will be co-headlining the short tour, special guest openers are still to be announced. The tour name comes from the collaboration they worked on last year together with the song called "Monster" with was on Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP 2 release. News of the tour broke last month from XXL magazine and was then tweeted out by Eminem himself on twitter writing, "NYC/DET/LA this August with @Rihanna #Themonstertour"
Eminem's latest album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 sales have helped him overtake country musician George Strait (44.89 million sales) to become the second-best-selling male artist. However, it is important to note that Strait's career predates the inception of SoundScan data. Garth Books is the top selling artist of the era, male or female.
In the close to 23-year span of Soundscan, Eminem moves to sixth place overall for any artist, dropping Strait to No. 7. Garth Brooks is on top of the list with 69.52 million. The Beatles are second (65.55 million) and Metallica third (54.26 million), while Mariah Carey sits in fourth (54.24 million) and Celine Dion (52.21 million) rounds out the top five.
