Naomi Raine Opens Up About Making Her Christmas EP
GRAMMY Award Winning Gospel artist, Naomi Raine releases her first ever Christmas project, titled The Gift. The four track EP embodies the warmth, happiness and joy of the holiday season, while honoring Jesus, as she offers three original tracks as well as a stirring Gospel version of the classic "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." The EP is available via TRIBL records on all streaming platforms.
"Releasing this project has felt so natural! Yes, I love Christmas and the joy of the holiday season, but my hope is that these songs create space for people to reflect on the generous gift that Jesus gave to the world," says Naomi about the project. "That profound, sacred truth is something we can celebrate all year long, but I hope these songs minister to those who need a reminder of the hope we have in Jesus in the midst of the holiday hustle," she concludes.
Naomi makes Christian music that appeals to wide audiences, fusing traditional Gospel with elements of R&B, pop and hip-hop. Despite only becoming a solo artist since 2015, Naomi Raine has a large music catalog and co-signs from Gospel greats such as Kirk Franklin and CeCe Winans. Earlier this year, Naomi toured on the It's Time Tour, the first-ever all-female worship tour in history alongside Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Tamela Mann, TAYA, Natalie Grant, Katie Torwalt and more.
As a part of five-time GRAMMY Award-winning music collective Maverick City Music, Naomi has earned multiple awards including, Billboard Music Awards, Dove Awards, Stellar Awards, and five Grammy awards. Maverick City Music's latest album,'The Maverick Way Complete' includes the tracks from recently-released 6-track 'The Maverick Way' EP, which shot to number one on Billboard's Top Gospel Album, and also features collaborations with Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Noah Schnacky, Bobbi Storm, Travis Greene, Cody Carnes, Wande and more. The EP is nominated for Best Gospel Album and "God Problems," off the EP is nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards next year.
