Zak Williams & 1 AKORD's "Jehovah Jireh" Goes to #1
Zak Williams & 1 AKORD's "Jehovah Jireh" has reached the #1 spot this week on the Billboard/BDS Gospel Indicator Radio Chart. "Jehovah Jireh" has climbed to the #18 spot on the Billboard/BDS Gospel Airplay Chart. This is the choir's highest-peaking radio single with an increase and higher chart position on the horizon.
"I'm blown away by the support we've received of this song," says Zak Williams, frontman and founder of the choir. "Who would have thought that ten simple words, one chord progression, and over twenty-five years later, this song would impact Gospel music again in this magnitude?! I'm incredibly grateful for the support from radio on this song. To God Be All Glory!"
Zak & 1A remade "Jehovah Jireh" in tribute to iconic Philadelphia songwriter and musician Kevin Pringle (Wilmington Chester Mass Choir, Russell Delegation, GMWA Mass Choir). The Stellar Award nominated choir aims to keep choir music and the traditional 'Philly choir sound' thriving while continuing to be the innovative and pristine choir they have grown to be in their twenty years of ministry.
"This has been a good project to work on, and I really appreciate all the radio announcers, music directors, and program directors that have supported this single," states Al Edmondson, radio promoter for the single. "I also want to thank Enon Music Group's Vice President, Dr. Garland Miche Waller, for his support and direction. Congratulations to Zak; he deserves this honor."
"Jehovah Jireh" is available on all digital music outlets and has a companion lyric video on YouTube. Their official lyric video features cameo appearances by a who's who of Gospel artists, pastors, and media personalities: Minister Earl Bynum, Bishop Kenneth and Shavonne Wells, The Kergyma Community Choir, Pastor John P. Kee, The Pathway Evangelistic Church of Philadelphia, Hasan James, The Shipmans, Jason Clayborn, Pastor David Wright, Trice "Sistah Peaches" Whitley, Danielle Sunny Bryant, and Sounds Of Imani.
