Greg Laurie’s New Book "World Changers" Reminds Readers God Doesn’t Need "Super Christians’ to Accomplish His Purposes

Greg Laurie, pastor of the Harvest Christian Fellowship churches in California and Hawaii, founder of Harvest Crusades and best-selling author, released his newest book "World Changers: How God Uses Ordinary People to do Extraordinary Things," co-authored with Larry Libby, on Sept. 1.

World Changers (Baker Books)      

Through the stories of biblical characters such as Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab and others, Laurie and Libby encourage readers to serve God wherever they are, with whatever they have.

"A world changer is simply an individual-man, woman, or even a child-who makes the daily choice to allow God to use him or her in whatever way He sees fit," Laurie writes in the introduction. "And believe me on this, that sort of determination can lead you into places and situations and conversations you never would have dreamed possible!"

Laurie himself is a world changer. Over 2 million people watched Laurie's recent cinematic crusade "A Rush of Hope," and over 17,000 put their hope in Jesus. Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic earlier this year, more than 100,000 have made professions of faith as a result of watching Harvest's online services. In the 30 years after Laurie's first Harvest Crusade in 1990, more than 600,000 people around the globe have dedicated their lives to following Jesus.
