Hillsong Young & Free Announces the Release of their Single "Lord Send Revival"
GRAMMY® nominated Hillsong Young & Free announces the release of their brand new single "Lord Send Revival." Featuring an accompanying live performance video and studio version, the powerful youth anthem, written by Ben Tan, Aodhan King & Matt Crocker is available today.
With the world gripped by the current health pandemic, and society adopting a more socially distanced reality; encouragement, healing and hope is at the forefront of Young & Free's new song. The opening lyrics, 'Peace like a river wash over me' set the tone for a message aimed at equipping listeners around the globe with renewed faith.
"Releasing 'Lord Send Revival' right now was not part of our original plan," says Hillsong Young & Free's Laura Toggs. "In a time filled with uncertainty, fear and loss, we felt like we wanted to sing this over your households and our world. We are praying and believing for revival to cover our land in this unprecedented time in ways we have never seen before. In fact, I believe we already are, in Jesus name."
"Lord Send Revival" releases on the heels of Young & Free's current single "Best Friends." The energetic youth anthem continues to resonate with fans across the globe setting new career records for the worship collective. The highest audio streaming (4 million global) debut of any Hillsong song to date, "Best Friends" is also the fastest climbing radio single from the group landing in the Top 10 (currently No. 7) on Billboard's Christian music Hot AC/CHR. Young & Free recently premiered an official music video for the song that has garnered 1.5 million+ combined YouTube views (inclusive of the live video, music video and studio audio video).
Young & Free continues to play an integral role in reaching this generation for Christ with their revamped contemporary approach. Since forming in 2013, the global youth worship collective has released three highly successful albums and more than 20 singles, acquiring over 438 million YouTube channel views and 812 million plus global career streams (with a 750,000 plus global unit career consumption).
With a combined social following of 3 million plus fans, Young & Free has seen six No. 1 career singles and nine Top 5 singles at Hot AC radio. Their debut album "We Are Young & Free" landed in the Top 25 on Billboard 200 while "Youth Revival" garnered the group its first-ever GRAMMY nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album (2017). Their latest single "Every Little Thing" hit #1 at Hot AC radio for eight weeks, making it the longest running #1 for the band.
Most recently, Young & Free kicked off 2020 with a special appearance at the Strength to Stand conference in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., where Kanye West/SUNDAY SERVICE also performed. In support of their new music, the group is currently on the road with Winter Jam 2020, making their career debut on Christian music's largest annual circuit with featured performances in 25 cities around the nation.
