StowTown Celebrates SoundScan Chart Numbers
StowTown Records is known for its musical diversity and representing artists of multiple genres. They recently had artists win GMA Dove Awards in both the Southern Gospel and Inspirational categories. This week, StowTown celebrates having artists on multiple Nielsen Christian SoundScan charts, including four in the top ten for Inspirational Music.
Claiming the #1 spot on the Inspirational chart, as well as on the Christian Seasonal chart, is A True Family Christmas by The Collingsworth Family. This project also debuted on the Current Contemporary Christian chart at #2 and at #8 on the Billboard Christian/Gospel Total Consumption chart. A True Family Christmas released on October 18.
At #5 on the Inspirational chart is the second 2019 StowTown Christmas release, What Christmas Really Means by The Erwins. In its debut week, it also ranks at #19 on the Christian Seasonal chart. This is the very first seasonal project for The Erwins, which also released on October 18.
Having recently won the GMA Dove Award for Inspirational Song of the Year for "When the Healing Comes," TaRanda Greene's project, The Healing, sits at #6 on this week's Inspirational chart. The Healing released in September 2018 and has maintained consistent charting for the last year.
And at #9 on the Inspirational chart is artist Tiffany Coburn's project Near to the Heart of God. Like TaRanda, Tiffany's debut national release has had a strong showing on the Inspirational charts nearly every week since its release almost one year ago.
CEO of StowTown Records, Landon Beene, shares the enthusiasm these numbers represent for StowTown. "Coming on of the heels of the 50th Anniversary of the GMA Dove Awards, it is exciting to see the chart activity of StowTown. We embrace diversity within the various Christian Music genres for our roster of artists. As a company, we support all styles and are committed to putting out quality music that represents the most important message there is, JESUS!"
All four projects are available at retail and digital platforms worldwide and are distributed by Sony/Provident.
