Terrian of TobyMac's DiverseCity Band Releases "In the Arms"
Gotee Records announces the release of "In The Arms,"the newest single from Terrian of TobyMac's DiverseCity Band. This song, co-written by Terrian and worship leaders Anthony Skinner, Jon Reddick and songwriter Jess Cates, is available now here. It was produced by Micah Kuiper and Bryan Fowler for Man Cub Music House (TobyMac, Chris Tomlin).
"As believers, we walk through seasons that are difficult and can leave us tempted to question our faith and trust in our savior," shares Terrian. "'In the Arms' is the song the Holy Spirit uses to remind me that despite what my eyes can see, despite what the enemy is throwing my way, I can run to Jesus for safety. I can trust that He will be a strong tower for me and protect me from every enemy. When we walk by faith in these dark seasons, we are choosing to live in complete openness to the wisdom and understanding God has, to the peace God has, to the comfort God has, and to the joy God has. So, I pray that when people listen to this song they are encouraged to do so and are even convicted as I was while writing. I also pray this song plants a seed for those who are struggling with their faith in Christ or those who don't have faith at all. This song truly means a lot to me."
The song is already receiving Christian radio airplay and is featured on AppleMusic's Rise Up and Risers playlists, Pandora's New Christian Music Now, Spotify's New Music Friday Christian and YouTube Music's Christian Music Hotlist and Women of Worship .
"Terrian is a jewel, and truly one of a kind," shares TobyMac. "Though she's completely aware of the current, she is remarkably and uniquely an old soul. 'In the Arms' is T at her best, worshipping God with every fiber in her being and a timeless voice that makes the world pause."
Terrian released her song, "God With Us," earlier this year and the music video has surpassed 1.5 million views in just four months. She is featured on TobyMac's recent remix album The St. Nemele Collab Sessions on the track, "It's You (Tide Electric Remix)" with Matt Maher. Earlier this year she was featured on TobyMac's "Scars (Stereovision Remix)" and on the praised Dove Award-nominated album, The Beatitudes Project, from Stu G. Fans can see her this fall on the TobyMac Theatre Tour with label-mate Cochren & Co. Dates listed here.
Terrian was born and raised in Memphis, TN where she has rooted herself in community and mentorship being part of AngelStreet Memphis. AngelStreet mentors girls through musical training in areas with limited artistic opportunities while empowering the girls to understand their value, discover their purpose, and become creative leaders.
