MARK209 Releases New Video "My Kind Of People"
MARK209's long-anticipated new music video, "My Kind Of People," will premiere July 6, 2019, on the television program Gospel Music Today.
This will be the third music video release from MARK209, each directed by the Emmy-nominated filmmaker/director Joseph Spence. "My Kind Of People," a fan favorite, was co-written by Woody Wright, Joe Johnston, and Kim Patton Johnston.
Jym Howe says, "It's been several years since our last music video and when recording this song for our new CD, Thumbprint, we knew it had to be used as the first video off the album. People just love the song. At each performance, we see the audience members trying to do the hand motions to 'this is the church, this is the steeple, open the door and there's all the people.' It's fun watching them trying to remember how to put their hands together to get the 'people' in their 'church,' and many children have no idea what the adults are doing. So we added a little spot in the video of a grandmother showing a young child how to do it. As always, we wanted to have fun with this video, and I'm certain people are going to have a good laugh when watching it. That's what we were going for ... to help people smile."
"My Kind Of People" will also release to radio the same week of the music video release.
The July 6 premiere of MARK209's new music video will air on Gospel Music Today on WATC TV57 in Atlanta and WBNA TV21 in Louisville, and then various days during that week on nine other broadcast and cable outlets. It will also be available through ROKU and on the Gospel Music Today website (www.gospelmusictoday.com), as well as on MARK209's website (www.mark209.com) and their social media pages (Facebook/YouTube/Instagram).
