Lonesome River Band's "Outside Looking In" Debuts at #1
Lonesome River Band's latest album, Outside Looking In, has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass chart with songs that reflect who and what this band is and the culture they come from.
"I'm so very blessed to get to work with a great team of musicians and the Mountain Home Music Company staff that has put forth a lot of effort to make this happen," says Sammy Shelor, Lonesome River Band's celebrated banjo player. "I have never worked with a better band and had more fun in the studio than I'm having these days!"
Lonesome River Band has once again delivered an album that bridges the worlds of traditional and modern Bluegrass with an immediately recognizable sound that has influenced generations of roots music musicians.
"We are so excited. This is a first time in a long time we have hit #1 on Billboard," says Brandon Rickman, guitarist and vocalist. "Thanks to everyone purchasing and streaming LRB's brand of traditional music! We are very proud of this album! LRBfans are the best! A big shout out to Mountain Home Music Company,Moonstruck Management and the whole team for their help in keeping LRB on the road and on the airwaves."
With Shelor's flawless groove, the distinguished vocals of Rickman and mandolinist Jesse Smathers, and expert playing from fiddler Mike Hartgrove and bassist Barry Reed, Lonesome River Band presents themes of love, betrayal, murder and prayer on Outside Looking In with the shrewd mastery that only a band performing at the highest level can create.
