Tasha Cobbs Leonard's Good Morning America Performance Propels Album & Single to #1
Multiple award-winner, best-selling artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard kicks off the new year with debut performance on Good Morning America. The Motown Gospel recording artist performed her current radio single "I'm Getting Ready," to an overwhelming response and social media was abuzz with appreciation and excitement after Cobbs Leonard's powerful performance. Immediately following the performance both the album (HEART. PASSION. PURSUIT.) and single rocketed to #1 on iTunes Christian & Gospel charts, and to the Top 20 Albums Chart across all genres. Tasha also shared a second song, "You Know My Name," which will air exclusively on abc.com.
In addition to the television performance, Tasha just released the popular "I'm Getting Ready" featuring Nicki Minaj, to radio as her new single. The song debuted at #1 on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs chart when it was first released, and has already generated nearly 7 million streams to date.
As the perfect way to get inspired for the new year, Cobbs Leonard launches an interactive platform where fans can share their declarations and intentions for 2018. The "I'm Getting Ready" Declaration Wall offers users the chance to upload a photo and their aspirations for 2018, then share their stories across social media. It is a unique opportunity for people to share and stand together in faith for the great things to come in the new year.
A bona fide hit album, HEART. PASSION. PURSUIT. ended 2017 as the longest-running #1 gospel album, spending a total of 10 weeks in the top spot on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart. For a limited time, Tasha has partnered with iTunes to offer the best-selling album at a special price of $5.99, and the new single "I'm Getting Ready," for only $0.69 through January 8.
Not one to rest on her laurels, Tasha will continue to tour and perform across the country. Details on her tour dates and appearances can be found at www.tashacobbs.org.
