David Crowder Releases Solo Debut Album 'Neon Steeple' Watch Story Behind His Song "I Am" (VIDEO)

David Crowder's solo debut album called, Neon Steeple, released today (May 27) and continues to highlight Crowder's knack for innovative songwriting. The album title was originally an idea formed when Crowder witnessed a stunning image of a steeple on the horizon. Among the new tracks is the record's lead Top 5 single (National Christian Audience) "I Am" as well as a duet with music icon Emmylou Harris on "My Sweet Lord." Neon Steeple comes over two years since David Crowder*Band's final project, Give Us Rest (A Requiem Mass in C [The Happiest of All Keys]). His current single "I Am" peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes® Christian & Gospel Top Songs chart upon its release. The song has enjoyed a steady climb up the charts, currently sitting at No. 5 on the National Christian Audience chart, reaching over 6.6 million people weekly.

In support of Neon Steeple, Crowder will headline a fall tour which kicks off in Springfield, MO on September 30. The tour will include special guests All Sons & Daughters, Capital Kings and Ellie Holcomb on select dates.
