Musical Soul Food Network Launches the First Annual Musical Soul Food Festival
The Musical Soul Food Network (America's premiere family friendly syndicated radio network) will launch the first annual Musical Soul Food Festival on June 25, 2016 on the sixty-acre Chesapeake City Park in Chesapeake, VA. Parenting Magazine named Chesapeake in its "Best Cities for Families" list two years in a row so this year's festival theme is "It's A Family Affair." Aside from a full day of great inspirational music by some of today's top gospel recording artists; there will be a wide-gamut of fun activities ranging from basketball challenges, volleyball, Zumba, line-dancing, fitness aerobics in the We-Fit Zone, food vendors and more.
The Musical Soul Food Festival kicks off Friday, June 24th with a live radio broadcast that will be followed by the Black Gospel Promo 15th Anniversary Bash celebrating its founder Veda Brown's groundbreaking work in faith-based digital marketing. The free event will feature a live DJ and #MSFFest Indie Artist Showcase. On June 25th the Musical Soul Food Network will honor Dr. Bobby Jones (who hosted cable TV's longest running TV series "Bobby Jones Gospel" on BET for 35 years) with its first ever Rejoice Award for his contributions to the Gospel music industry. Dr. Jones will appear live and serve as honorary host of the main concert event on the Bagley Stage that will feature a rousing day of music by some of today's best-known gospel artists. The Musical Soul Food Fest is made possible with the support of Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores, Toyota of Elizabeth City, HBK Media and others. #MSFFest
