Kari Jobe Writes Her Second Devotional Based on Her "Revelation Song"
Worship leader and songwriter Kari Jobe is writing a 7-Day Devotional on Facebook. Each day she will write a short devotion that has its seed thought from one of her songs. Jobe, the 34-year-old Christian contemporary music singer for the Southlake, Texas, church, has posted her first devotional for her song "I Am Not Alone." Now, she writes her second entry based on her hit "Revelation Song."
Revelation Song Devotional
KARI JOBE·WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2016
Scriptures: Revelation 4:8, Matthew 6:10, Romans 12:1-2
I love the Scriptures in the book of Revelation that speak of worshipping our great King. Chapter 4, verse 8 says it like this, "Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come."
Personally, whenever I sing Revelation Song, I feel God's presence in a special way. Every time its new, fresh and I see another side of His beauty as I worship.
And today, I want to encourage you to go after God in everything you say and do. Live a life of worship for He longs for you to experience His fullness every day.
When Jesus taught the disciples to pray in Matthew 6:10, He said to pray like this, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." The truth is, you can experience Heaven on earth as you're driving to work, helping your neighbor or even doing chores around the house.
So go forth today in God's love, hope and grace. May His Kingdom come and His will be done in your life.
Fans have been responsive to Jobe's devotional and her song: "I have read revelation for the last three years every month.i have had so many supernatural blessing it has been so awesome.my husband die three years ago.the grief was so overwhelmed this was my favorite song and your singing of it is the best out of all who else sang it.i heard it on the 700 club.god bless.karen"
"Thank You Kari, my favorite version is the collaboration between You and Chris Tomlin. OUR LORD has blessed You with a beautiful, holy gift, and the way You have chosen to glorify HIS name plants seeds, bears fruit, and brings a plentiful harvest that pleases Him. With all the sadness and brokeness that brings tears to His eyes, It comforts me to know there are those such as yourself that put so much passion and love into worshiping Him. Oh yes, "Revelation Song" is in my top 5, and I won't miss out on the next "Red Rock" performance. Praying for an easy delivery for You and baby, and blessings for Your family. Again, thanks Kari! ?"
