Loretta Lynn Returns with Her New Spiritual Album "Full Circle"
There's no stopping Loretta Lynn. At the age of 83, Lynn is planning to release her brand new album Full Circle on March 4, 2016. This will be her first album since's 2004's Van Lear's Rose.
Though it is not a Christian album, it brims with Lynn's Gospel roots that tell of Country Music's First Lady's spiritual pilgrimmage. Full Circle is described as "a journey through Loretta's musical story, from the Appalachian folk songs and gospel music she learned as a child, to new interpretations of her classic hits and country standards, to songs newly-written for the project."
With 13 new recordings that bounce between the Appalachian folksongs she learned as a child to newer versions of past hits like "Fist City." The tracklist even begins with an updated take on "Whispering Sea," the first song Lynn ever wrote, which was originally released in 1960 as the B-side to "I'm a Honky Tonk Girl."
Produced by Patsy Lynn Russell and John Carter Cash, the album will be released by Legacy Recordings. It's the first volume of the Cash Cabin Recordings, a series of new album projects recorded at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Here's the tracklist for Loretta Lynn's Full Circle:
