Happy Birthday Christine Caine: A Tribute to a Great Woman of God
On September 23, Australian activist, author, preacher, and evangelist, Christine Caine turns 49. Wife to Nick, and mum to Catie and Sophie, Caine travels the globe preaching, teaching, and advocating for justice.
Caine was adopted at birth and was raised by her Greek Orthodox immigrant parents in public commission housing in Lalor Park, Sydney. She first volunteered as a youth worker, when she helped establish Hills District Youth Service. She went on to become the director of a nationwide youth ministry, Youth Alive.
Caine founded Equip & Empower Ministries in 2000 with her husband.They are the directors of Equip & Empower and oversee offices in Sydney, Australia and Orange County, California. Through Equip & Empower they also oversee an initiative called Project Europe that offers on-going mentoring, leadership training, and development to churches and pastors throughout Europe.
In 2008, Christine and her husband, Nick, founded The A21 Campaign, an anti-human trafficking organization dedicated to abolishing slavery in the 21st century. The A21 Campaign's comprehensive approach includes raising awareness, preventing future trafficking, taking legal action, and providing rehabilitation services to survivors.
With 10 offices in 9 countries, their aim is to prevent human trafficking through awareness, to protect trafficked victims in their shelters and transition homes, to prosecute traffickers and strengthen the legal response to human trafficking, and to partner with law enforcement, individuals, corporations, official bodies, and other non-governmental organizations to end human trafficking in the 21st century
In January 2015, Caine founded Propel Women. Propel believes in the passion, purpose, and potential of every woman everywhere. Propel exists to honor the calling of every woman, empower her to lead, equip her for success, and develop a sense of God given purpose.
Caine has also been featured on several international television shows, including TBN's Praise the Lord, The James Robison Show, Joyce Meyer's Enjoying Everyday Life, and Joni Lamb, and is a Women of Faith speaker.
