Billy Graham's Grandson Tullian Tchividjian Takes Up a Job at Willow Creek Church Two Weeks After Divorce
Billy Graham's grandson Tillan Tchividjian has landed himself a job at Willow Creek Church two weeks after filing for a divorce. At the church in central Florida, he will serve as the director of ministry development. His job will be help the church strengthen her connections with mercy ministries in the local community, helping them strengthen and better coordinate our efforts to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, comfort the weary, and provide other forms of mercy ministry.
Willow Creek is a Presbyterian church located in Winter Springs, Florida, just outside Orlando. According to their website, the congregation's mission is to glorify God by experiencing and expressing the liberating power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
"We're so delighted to welcome Tullian Tchividjian to the staff of Willow Creek Church," reads the church website. "A graduate of Columbia International University (philosophy) and Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando (M.Div.), Tullian is a best-selling author, having written seven books on the gospel of Jesus Christ and its liberating implications."
Tchividjian reisigned as senior pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church earlier this summer after admitting to having an affair. Two weeks ago, Tchividjian file for divorce from his wife Kim. Further, the South Florida Presbytery deposed Tchividjian of his pastoral credentials in August, but remained firmly committed to helping the former pastor.
