Blanca Release Her Debut 14-Song Album
Former vocalist of Group 1 Crew, Blanca released a 5 song EP earlier this year. Now she has added 9 more songs to formulated her 14-track debut sef-titled release. Blanca was produced by some of the most high-profiled producers in the industry that includes Grammy award-winners, Seth Mosley, Tedd T, Bernie Herms, Joseph Prielozny, among others. The album also features collaborations with Reach Records Grammy-winning rapper, Lecrae and Hip Hop artist, Tedashii.
The current and first single from Blanca, "Who I Am," reached #2 this week on the Christian Hot AC / CHR chart, it's highest charting position yet and is the fastest rising debut single from a new artist. Besides resonating with fans, this song also holds a lot of meaning for Blanca as it depicts the changes in her life, from leaving Group 1 Crew to becoming a solo artist and recently becoming a wife and mother.
"The thought of dropping something that I loved like Group 1 Crew, was so scary," explains Blanca. "But, with a lot of prayer, over time, the birth of my son became not only the birth of my child, but the birth of a new chapter. Anyone who knows me knows that is pretty big. I've always been a fearful person. And the thought of stepping out was scary for me, but I had promised the Lord that if He said go, I would go."
Blanca is taking this message to her friends and fans through the #RealTrueYou campaign that launches today. At the same time, she is challenging Christians to take a stand and fill the internet with your own stories of finding your identity through Christ. Blanca personally shares her story behind the song, "Who I Am," with this video, and shares her new motto... Be Real. Be True. Be You. The video can be viewed here: http://smarturl.it/whoiamepk.
