'The Legend of Korra' Review: Political Unrest Succumbed to the Elements of Fire, Water, Earth and Air
Much to the delight of fantasy films enthusiasts, "The Legend of Korra", an American animated TV series, had its final season this October.
Fans had a great time as they witness their favourite characters display their skills over the elements of earth, air, fire and water. Hence, the one who can take control of all elements has the power to maintain all forces in balance, and that is Avatar.
Breath Cast reported that the last season dwelt on the efforts of Avatar Korra towards self-discovery after having been physically and psychologically injured by Zaheer. This was further aggravated by social unrest on Earth, wherein Kuvira, is determined to use military forces to seize power.
The season is consists of four episodes, first is "After All These Years", followed by "Korra Alone" on October 10 which features a recuperating Korra. On Oct. 17, the third episode "The Coronation" signifies a new leadership and a change of power. Indeed, the Earth Kingdom had Prince Wu for their King. It was met with conflicting views and criticisms particularly on his competence to handle the affairs of the Kingdom.
Entertainment Monthly reported that President Raiko viewed his coronation as a means to reaffirm the legitimacy of Earth Monarchy; hence, world leaders installed him to the position. Widely perceived to be inept, there were speculations that he might rely too much on his ministers and become too dependent on the insights of his advisors.
Hence, Kuvira wasted no time and invaded Wu's coronation, grabbed the power and named the kingdom, Earth Empire. All these transpired while Korra is undergoing training to enhance her fighting skills with Toph Beifong, an 86 year old earth bending master. And the season's final episode, "The Calling" showed the "The Legend of Korra's" distinct storyline. It has made an attempt to give value to each character.
Thrilled by adventure in the animated series, news from Spike said that "The Legend of Korra" is now in video games to allow players to take control of how Korra bends her way against the enemies. It is developed by Platinum Games and published by Activision.
