'Gone Girl' Star Neil Patrick Harris Brings Up His Concern On His Sex Scene
The American thriller film "Gone Girl" was released in theaters and cinemas last Oct. 03. As of Oct. 26, 2014, the movie grossed an estimated total of $242 million worldwide, which combines the estimated domestic gross of $124 million and estimated gross of $118 million in other countries.
"Gone Girl" is a thriller film adaptation of the 2012 novel of the same name authored by Gillian Flynn. It follows Nick Dunne who finds out that his wife is missing as he returns home on the day of their fifth wedding anniversary. Later on, speculations arise saying that he killed his wife, with his lies and odd behavior taken as characteristics of a sociopath.
The film cast stars Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, Rosamund Pike as Amy Elliot-Dunne, Neil Patrick Harris as Desi Collings, Tyler Perry as Tanner Bolt, Carrie Coon as Margo "Go" Dunne, Kim Dickens as Detective Rhonda Boney, and Rosamund Pike as Amy Elliot-Dune.
Other cast members include Patrick Fugit as Officer James Gilpin, Casey Wilson as Noelle Hawthrone, Missi Pyle as Ellen Abbott, Sela Ward as Sharon Schieber, Emily Rarajkowski as Andie Fitzgerald, Kathleen Rose Perkins as Shawna Kelly, Lisa Banes as Marybeth Elliot, David Clennon as Rand Elliott, Scoot McNairy as Tommy O'Hara, Boyd Holbrook and Lola Kirke as Jeff and Greta, Cyd Strittmatter as Maureen Dunne, and Leonard Kelly-Young as Bill Dunne.
Actor Neil Patrick Harris spoke his thoughts on his sex scene in HNGN, explaining that showing off his but is not a major concern, but letting the crew see his penis. "I needed to make sure no one really saw my wang," he said. "You don't mind a little hint of the wang but you don't want a long, long moment with the wang. So you're conscious of that. You're like, fine if you see my butt and stuff like that, but don't get the camera too low," the actor added.
For the actor, all he is honestly concerned with is Pike, according to Digital Spy. The actor wants to make sure that the actress is comfortable doing the sex scene act with no strange feelings. "I wanted to make sure that she, in her own state of disrobedness, felt comfortable and didn't feel weird," he added.
Meanwhile, actress Rosemund Pike verbalized in a statement in Daily Mail her thoughts on wanting to become pregnant. The actress is now seven months pregnant and wishes to conceive again as soon as the filming finished. She spent five weeks player her role as the psychotic character of Amy Elliot-Dune. "After filming, I just knew I had to go out there and make a human being," she said. The actress thinks that she needs to give something positive into the world and she also believes that with little people, life becomes good.
The film is piloted by David Fincher, with Leslie Dixon, Bruna Papandrea, Reese Witherspoon, and Cean Chaffin as producers and Jeff Cronenweth in cinematography.
Filming began last Sept. 11, 2013, which also took place in Los Angeles. The principal photography started last Sept. 15 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
"Gone Girl" is produced by Regency Enterprises and Pacific standard and distributed by 20th Century Fox.
