'The Big Bang Theory' Season 8, Episode 6: Sense of Insecurity Rocks the Team
Viewers will get hooked on the negotiating schemes as couples try to maintain the balance of power despite the pressures which stem from the most sensitive concern, "who earns more and who wields more authority". "The Big Bang Theory" Season 8, will take its fans on a less bumpy ride in "The Expedition Approximation" episode.
Den of Geek revealed that said episode is focused on Leonard and Penny's tendency to put more emphasis on their earnings. It only started when Penny finally got employed in pharmaceutical sales that Leonard's image as more superior than her and sole earner was dimmed. After having the privilege of using the company's car, Penny opted to sell the car bought by Leonard for her. A disappointed Leonard takes it as an unwise move, hence, the beginning of conflict on how to handle finances and properties.
Maybe this was brought in the early part of the series, because it may not really affect the entire flow of the drama, or the turning point of the story. However, it can be observed that this episode is more forceful compared to others. Maybe because a certain human attitude was given emphasis, a feeling of insecurity which is clearly exhibited by the characters of Leonard and Howard and how such emotion affects the way they deal with their respective partners.
Digital Spy further added that in their effort to resolve the issue, they seek the advice of Bernadette and Howard, which to their misfortune are also going through an ordeal similar to their own.
Howard and Leonard are caught in the same boat, in which they have to face the matter with calmness considering that they are into a relationship. From here, the authors maybe would take money as a factor to determine the fate of the couple, or its value must be lessened.
On the other hand Raj and Sheldon are too engrossed in their scientific research project. They are trying to conduct an experiment in a salt mine, to test their tolerance level on extreme temperatures, the intense heat underground.
Well, a lot more is to be revealed as the story unfolds.
