The last month or so has been of mixed reactions for Apple and its engineers. They have released some really amazing devices at one hand, but on the other there have been several issues with new operating systems for iPhones and iPads. The engineers at Apple headquarters in Silicon Valley understand this and have rolled out necessary updates like iOS 8.0.1 and 8.0.2, but they were not enough. Citing several issues like these, Apple had worked on another update that was rolled out October 20, but it seems like some of the iPhone 5S users are still facing issues with that.

What is the solution to common WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity issues?

At times, it becomes impossible to find available networks and to connect with them through iPhone 5S after iOS 8.1 update. The simplest way to deal with it is resting the network settings. Use Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. After this, restart the device.

How to deal with keyboard lag and random booting?

This can be a more serious problem than you think. At times, after iOS 8.1 update in iPhone 5S, the keyboard doesn't respond to tapping or the responses are slow. Try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary to solve problem.

For random reboots, erase all content and settings after taking a backup on iTunes. It will delete everything on the phone and will take some time so make sure that battery percentage is enough to last through the erase.
