Dead Rising Movie's Frank West to be Played by Former Daily Show Correspondent
News about Dead Rising keep on coming and coming and it would seem that they won't be stopping there yet. Previous news reports have stated that Dead Rising's mainstay may be included in the movie and it has been recently announced that Rob Riggle had been casted for the role of Frank West.
Riggle is a former correspondent on the Daily Show and a US Marine Corps Reserve Officer. He is also noted for his appearances on movies and TV shows such as 21 Jump Street and Arrested Development.
Joining him in the Dead Rising movie cast are Harley Morenstein, known to all for his YouTube channel called Epic Meal Time; Keegan Connor Tracey, best known for his roles in Bates Motel.,Once Upon a Time and Final Destination 2; Aleks Paunovic from This Means War, Dennis Haysbert, Jesse Matcalfe, Virginia Madsen and Meghan Ory.
The Dead Rising movie revolves around the time when the world is submerged into a perilous zombie outbreak. The vaccine provided by the government has fails and a team of four characters find themselves investigating the cause of the outbreak while trying not to get infected themselves. The hitch? The outbreak might be the government's doing.
Legendary Digital Media will lead the adaptation of the Dead Rising movie, officially called as Dead Rising: Watchtower. The film will be directed by Zach Lipovsky.
The Dead Rising movie release date is targeted for a 2015 release.
