PS4 Update: There Were Some Limitations, Sony Says
New details on PS4 2.0 announced by Sony Computer Entertainment Asia drawn attention to some limitations.
Despite of the previous announcement last week, which provides nearly all information regarding the upcoming PS4 update 2.0, there were still some information that hasn’t mentioned. For gamers who want to be familiar with PS4 update 2.0 new features and limitations, those new information highlighted last October 21 were very important.
Unlike the PS3 where MP3 files from your hard drive can be saved, one of things you want to know when it comes to PS4 update 2.0 USB Music Player, is that, you can’t transfer music files from the your hard drive to the PS4 internal hard disk.
USB Music Player can’t be used as Music Unlimited app at the same time. It is clearly logical. You can’t heard those music that you can play with USB Music Player on livestreams, same goes to those videos recorded by your PS4.
There are also some limitations for the Share Play app, anyway its still looks pretty amazing. Share play can solely be played by one other person at a time. Share Play usage is restricted to one hour only, however you can always set up another session right after one session ends.
Gamers may also need to know that several scenes on some games that are not allowed with Share Play. This is most likely made to neutralize games spoilers. You may also want to know that while using Share Play you are not allowed to use livestream gameplay at the same time. Screenshots and video play can’t be save by your guest while using Share play.
As announced by the International Business Times, PS4 update 2.0 incluedes new features like changeable background color for the homescreen. Live broadcasting was also enhanced with filters and new channels. The players may also choose a voice command option in the new PS4. Gamers may also add games to their own library without downloading the app using the new Add to Library button.
The PS4 update System aslos named as Masamune will be available for free download from PlayStaion Store during its released date. According to the official PlayStaion Blog, not only the PS4 but also including the PS TV and PS Vita will have an update version 3.35 on the same date the PS4 will be released.
The PlayStation Blog also added that PS App for android and smartphones will also have an upadate 2.0 and will be available on Google Play and App Store on the same date.
So, when will it be released?
The Director for Product Planning and Software Innovation of Sony Computer Entertainment America, Scott McCarthy, said that they don’t haven’t yet announced the official date, he added that they don’t the gamers to play the bissgest game of the year without its biggest update of the year, timing will be confirmed when there's no chance of it changing.
