Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Pulled Out by Microsoft? Plus Surface Pro 3 Specs vs iPad Air 2 Specs
Microsoft is said to have stopped taking orders of the Surface Pro 2 tablets via Microsoft's online store, according to Geeky Gadgets.
The Surface Pro 2 tablet had been reduced in terms of price since June. From $899 it is now at $799, and that's a huge drop from the original price.
For those who still wish to get their hands on Surface Pro 2 tablet, you may visit other online stores, as in the Microsoft website, the "Buy Now" button takes you to a "website no longer found" screen.
The Surface Pro 2 tablet specs include: Intel Core i5 processor with 4 or 8GB of RAM, a 10.6-inch ClearPixel display offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 5 megapixel rear camera for photos and videos with a 3.5 megapixel front-facing camera for video conferencing, and a Windows 8.1 operating system.
Apple will soon unveil iPad Air 2, and tablet manufacturers are in for another tough competition. The tablet is said to be thinner than the previous iPad Air only 6.1mm thick and weighs some 437g. It will boast the TouchID fingerprint sensor and the more powerful 64-bit A8X chipset.
Microsoft, on the other hand, had released Surface Pro 3, that is also named as a "laplet" a laptop and a tablet, earlier this year. It has a 12-inch display with a thin and light profile, can be connected to a type cover where it can then be used like a laptop and supports microSD slots of up to 128GB.
