HTC One M9 vs One M8 Comparison: The Upcoming Phone Set to be Better In Specs and Design; Will Also Be Pricier
The formerly High-Tech Computer Corporation in Taiwan is now making its name known in the smartphone and tablet market. After years of being behind tech-giants like Apple and Samsung, HTC is now making its presence felt in the industry with tough competition.
After the successful release of their previous smartphone series, tech-geeks and fans are now waiting for the rumored new handset from HTC, the One M9. Because of HTC's trademark of creating tech-advance devices available at an affordable price, their new smartphone is highly anticipated.
According to Christian Today, HTC One M9 might be released late March next year, just like its predecessor, One M8, which was released just last March after the Mobile World Congress. HTC One M8 was not able to meet the standard of the tech-geeks thus, it is expected that M9 will be a great improvement of its previous edition.
So before the M9 hit the market next year, here is the comparison of HTC One M8 and HTC One M9 according to reports from 3g and GSM Arena. It is also important to note that M9 is somehow the new name for the M8 Prime that has been initially reported, but has gone into web vapor when M9 entered the scene.
HTC One M9 is expected to have a 5.5-inch display at 2560 x 1440 resolution and 534 pixel density. It is quite bigger than its predecessor, which has 5-inch screen at 1080 x 1920 pixels and 441 pixel density. The upcoming phone will also have more powerful processor which can either be a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core or an octa-core Snapdragon 810, while HTC One M8 is powered by a Quad-core Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.3 GHz.
HTC's new flagship phone is also rumored to have a bigger RAM compared to M8's 2GB capacity. But in terms of operating system, M9 will most likely get the latest Android Lollipop 5.0 but M8 is also said to have the updated Android OS soon.
In terms of image capturing, HTC One M9 will also have a better camera at 13MP which is also rumored to feature optical zoom. HTC One M8, on the other hand, has 4MP main snapper with dual-LED flash. It is also said that the two smartphones will both have the Duo Camera element.
When it comes to design, reports said that the two handsets from the Taiwan-based tech-company will share almost the same structure. Although M9, as the new version of M8, is expected to be more refined, slimmer, and maybe a better metal build.
HTC One M9 is also expected to be pricier compared to One M8. HTC One M8 is now available at $820 without contract, so expect M9 will cost more.
