Kesha On Dr. Luke: "I Was Sexually, Physically, and Emotionally Abused"
The fierce singer Kesha has filed a lawsuit last Tuesday against Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald, her former producer, accusing him of a decade worth of emotional, physical and sexual abuse.
In the lawsuit, Kesha claimed that while she was on her way to the elusive fame in the music industry, Gottwald or more popularly known as Dr. Luke, constantly drugged her that she almost lost her life.
Mark Geragos, the singer's lawyer, mentioned in the lawsuit that Dr. Luke started abusing his client violently as soon as she moved to LA. He's even forced her to regularly consume alcohol and take drugs. In one of her travels, according to Kesha, Dr Luke pushed her to snort illicit drug, even before she hopped on to a plane. Dr. Luke also forced himself on her, but could not do anything as she was too weak due to the drugs, claimed the lawsuit.
The purpose of the suit, which was filed in LA County Superior Court, was to end her business relationship with the accused and seek damages for emotional distress, gender violence, sexual harassment, battery, and sexual assault.
Kesha, who's Kesha Sebert in real life, accused the former producer that he also committed sexual assaults on her while making efforts of sobering her up. On another occasion, Kesha revealed that her former producer forced her to have alcoholic drinks with him, and offered her 'sober pills'. The singer woke up naked the following day in the producer's bed, claiming she was sick and sore with no recall of what had happened the night before. Sebert added that she immediately gave her mother a ring to report what had happened.
The lawsuit specifically mentioned that Sebert later on learned that the pills were GHB, a drug more popular for being a 'date rape drug."
Christina Lepera, Gottwald's lawyer, gave a statement to the LA Times. According to her, Kesha with the help of her mother is engaged in an evil campaign of publishing untrue and outrageous statements. Lepera added that the purpose of the whole 'campaign' is to extort the former producer into letting go of the singer from Kesha's exclusive contract agreement with him.
While it's still impossible to learn whose claims are true and accurate yet, the truth will eventually come out.
