Unsigned Only Adds David Crowder Of Monsters and Men, Neon Trees and John Oates to Panel of Judges
Unsigned Only Music Competition has just announced the 2014 panel of judges for this year's contest. Drawing from a talented pool of artists and writers, Unsigned Only is designed to help unsigned solo artists or bands get one step closer to achieving their dreams of signing a major label record contract. A team of mentors will be comprised of label presidents and reps.
Last year's winner Wes Mack says, "winning Unsigned Only proved exceptionally beneficial, and it actually helped us push the song higher in the charts (it peaked at #9 on the Canadian Country Billboard Chart). The mentoring sessions were great, and Unsigned Only has been a phenomenal experience and one I feel very lucky to have had."
Mack was awarded $10,000 along with an exclusive mentoring session with leading record company executives. First and second place winners in all ten categories will also be chosen. Winners will be announced August 2014.
"We are honored that so many high-profile, influential artists and music journalists have signed on to be judges," says competition founders Jim Morgan and Candace Avery. "Additionally, the mentors this year are equally impressive, coming from labels such as Republic Records, Capitol, Sire, Warner Bros., Atlantic, Elektra, RocNation, Word, and more. We are thrilled that they want to participate, and we know that the Grand Prize winner will benefit greatly from the opportunity to network with them."
This year's judges include Neon Trees, John Oates, 3 Doors Down, David Crowder, Alt-J, G-Love, Of Monsters and Men, Dustin Lynch, Roseanne Cash, Black Francis, Delbert McClinton, Craig Morgan, Robert Smith, Darryl McDaniels, Jason Gray, Aaron Shust, Rapsody, The Mountain Goats, Josh Jackson, Anthony DeCurtis, Chris Richards and many more.
