“The Walking Dead” Season 5: Relive the Horror as the Dead Walk the Earth
"The Walking Dead" Season 5: Relive the Horror as the Dead Walk the Earth on October 12
"The Walking Dead" Season 5 is a horror-drama series and the fifth season installment of the original show "The Walking Dead." It also serves as the re-imagination of the comic book series "The Walking Dead" created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard.
The fifth season of "The Walking Dead" advances though the post-apocolyptic period in which the living dead walk the earth. It is set in a world and unfolds a group contained in a rail car and not able to escape. It looks like the group has awoken and they have stepped into a place they never want to return. We will witness them come together again and join forces in their love for one another in order to fight back, to survive.
The series cast members include Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon, Steven Yeun as Glenn Rhee, Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier, Lauran Cohan as Maggie Greene, Emily Kinney as Beth Greene, Chad Coleman as Tyreese, Sonequia Martin-Green as Sasha, Lawrence Cudlitz as Sgt. Abraham Ford, Alanna Masterson as Tara Chambler, Christian Serratos as Rosita Espinosa, Josh McDermitt as Dr. Eugene Porter, Andre J. West as Gareth, and Seth Gilliam joins the cast as Father Gabriel Stokes.
The series has also achieved its triumph with the success of its fourth season. The season four final episode of "The Walking Dead" gathered millions of viewers last March.
In fact, AMC has also decided to keep "The Walking Dead" series for its sixth season, according to Cbsnews. In TVLine, AMC President Charlie Collier said, "We could not be more excited for Oct. 12 as we share new episodes of 'The Walking Dead' with fans around the globe. In advance of Sunday's Season 5 premiere, AMC proudly confirms a sixth season order of this extraordinary series. Thank you to Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, the terrific executive producers, and the entire team who brings this compelling world and these rich characters to life. There's plenty more Dead ahead thanks to their impressive, collective effort." This is totally marvelous that a sixth season announcement happens just prior to the start of the fifth season, which will consist of 16 episodes.
The television series is developed by Frank Darabont, with Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Scott Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Tom Luse, and Gale Ann Hurd as executive producers.
Do not miss a single episode of the new highly anticipated epic fifth season of "The Walking Dead", returning this Oct. 12, 2014, Sunday, on AMC network.
