iPad Mini 3 Release Date, Reveals, Reviews and Specs: Design and Memory to have Minor Upgrades  while Software gets an Upgrade

With no hiccups as concerns the Apple schedule seeing the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus released early this month without a hitch, it should also be assumed that the other devices such as the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 are going to debut on schedule. The last generation of the iPad mini released in October last year and the first generation the same time before. that implies that we should still be optimistic for an October release. Now there is not much that has been said about the device other than the fact, it will have all of the next generation Apple tools such as the iOS 8  software, retina display and touch ID fingerprint sensor systems.

There is a rumor that the iPad mini 3 will be named the iPad mini Air which continues the convention from the iPad Air. When it comes to the design, it is going to be 30 percent thinner than the current version of the retina iPad mini and that would make it just 5.25 thick. The device will come available with a 7.9 inch display most likely and a resolution of 2048x1536. An antiglare coating is also possible for the device this time round. The iPad mini 2 came available with 16, 32, 64 and 128GB storage options and this will probably carry through to the iPad mini 3. Apparently Apple is not going to add a microSD slot, at least according to PC advisor.

As for the other specs, it is believed that the device will mimic the iPhone 6 as concerns the chipset and will have the newer 64 bit, A8 chip. The device will also come available with a dual core processor and a more powerful PowerVR GPU. As mentioned Touch ID fingerprint sensation and iOS 8 are part of the package
