Uncle Buck Is Back: Uncle Buck Returns, ABC Confirmed!

"Uncle Buck" the John Candy comedy of 1989 is finally back at ABC! This will be the second trip of the TV show on small screen. Brian Bradley and Steven Cragg wrote the comedy spin off for Universal TV. Will Packer (No Good Deed) one of the prolific producers of film is exec producing together with Bradley and Cragg.

Uncle Buck was directed by John Hughes starring Candy. He was the childish bachelor who was tasked to babysit his brother's unmanageable and wild kids. So, imagine how his life was during that time. Well, remembering the old days such TV show was really funny.

It was in 1990-91 season when CBS tried to have a rendition of the TV show "Uncle Buck" starring Kevin Meaney. Such show had a brief run though and it encourage analyst especially those who are TV critics to give opinions, most especially that such show was seen to have coarse language like "you suck" phrase being said by a child to adult. The YV show is intended to be watched by the whole family and including children, but seeing and hearing those words were not a very good example.

So, now ABC is again clearing things out and preparing for the return of "Uncle Buck" in small screen. This is just one of the many vintage TV titles and films that ABC will going to restore and hauled out from their storage. Because of this, producers and writers are very busy working on it. The script for "Uncle Buck" was ordered from the ABC.

ABC is really hoping that people would just stop comparing Candy from the new version of him as the new show will start airing as soon as possible. If people especially those who are really avid fans of "Uncle Buck" candy version, producers and the rest of the team will be having more freedom to create a great show for all of us. Besides we are now in new generation and we can't just stick to the old version of "Uncle Buck" and just as long as the show will never give or deliver words that are not good for kids who are watching and ABC will still have media sensibility and responsibility, well let's just wait what they can have.
