"The Vampire Diaries" season 6 already premiered and the fans are quite excited with the premiere episode. The fans did not feel so good about their favorite vampire, Damon, who was not shown as much as they would have wanted in the first episode.

The 6^th season of the TV series started off almost four months after the finale of the previous season. This is the death of Bonnie and Damon who were trapped inside the crumbling on the other side. In the already premiered season 6, Caroline, Elena and Stefan seem to be having a bad time adjusting with the fact that Bonnie and Damon are already gone. We even see Elena use some herbs which she uses so that she can see, touch and even talk to Damon. She however, gives up the use of the drugs and Elena gives Damon the final bye in a very emotional way. According to IBTimes, while the Damon-Elena relationship seems to be fading, Stefan-Elena relationship will even grow stronger as the two will share a steamy kiss in the 3^rd episode.

The report on the website read, "Elena's emotions are all over the place in season 6 and I have it on good authority that her love life is going to be far from dormant. In fact, I hear she'll be locking lips with a handsome fella in episode 3 - and his name does not rhyme with Shmamon." The executive producer of the series, Julie Plec, still refers to Damon as the love Elena's life and she said that this will be a very interesting season as almost all the characters will be out doing something crazy. Plec talked to E-Online and said, ""Vampire Diaries this season is so fun and fresh and so exciting to write. All the characters are all going through all this crazy stuff that is deeply rooted in their own emotional experience. Stefan is making all these choices about what kind of life he wants to live next and it doesn't necessarily involve anybody that he already knows.

She went ahead to say, "Stefan has a love interest and we'll find that out pretty darn quick. I'm not making any promises on how well that's going to go. Stefan's created this whole universe that he wants to live in and he's basically Mr. Denial." The 2^nd episode of "Vampire Diaries" season 6 will air on 9^th October on CW.
