'Left 4 Dead 3': Release of Left 4 Dead Third Installment Still Unknown
Earlier this year, screenshots of the game have been leaked in the internet, using Valve's fresh hand game engine, Source 2.0. It was then speculated that the screenshots were from a slide show for a private meeting. The leaked screenshots reveal the Plantation level from Left 4 Dead 2.
Meanwhile, Counter-Strike co-creator and ex-valve man, Minh Le, said in Techradar.com that Left 4 Dead 3's progress is going well, while Half-Life 3 is being worked on right now.
Left 4 Dead or L4D is a cooperative first-person shooter video game with survival horror elements.
The game is set during the aftermath of an apocalyptic pandemic. Left 4 Dead centers its four protagonists against packs of the infected.
The game plot reveals Pennsylvania as it suffers an outbreak of Green Flu, a highly contagious virus causing extreme aggression, alteration to the body cells, and loss of higher brain functions. Two weeks following the first infection for the immune survivors - Vietnamese veteran, William "Bill" Overbeck, college student Zoey, and IT analyst Louis, and outlaw breaker Francis - pave their way through Farfield City. Upon reaching the said city, the protagonists found out that the virus is producing more hazardous mutations.
Players can choose from four game modes.
Single-player mode. The mode in which allied characters are manipulated by an artificial intelligence (AI).
Four-player mode. Players can choose between a co-op campaign mode and a survival mode.
Eight-player mode. It is also called online versus mode.
In all these modes, an artificial intelligence controls level pacing as well as placement of items. This is the game's attempt to produce a dynamic experience and boost replay value.
Developed by Turtle Rock Studios and Valve Corporation, the game uses Valve's Source engine and is available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and Mac OS X.
Left 4 Dead 3, the alleged third installment of the Left 4 Dead video game, still has no known release date. Although some are discussing the probability of a release in November 2014, there are no official details on the game, production, plot, and release date as of now. However, fans are constantly thirsty to find any information regarding the game.
While fans still play Left 4 Dead 2, may are patiently waiting for the release of Left 4 Dead 3.
