Grimsby Release Date, News, Reveals, Rumors and Updates: More Plot and Casting Updates Available for Upcoming Comedy
Grimsby is slated to come out by July 31st 2015. There are three studious which are responsible for the film and they are Village Roadshow Pictures, Columbia and Four by Two films. The movie follows the plot of a British Black-ops spy who has a brother who is a football hooligan in the eighties towards the end of the cold war. This movie will be directed by Louis Leterrier which is good because he knows a thing or two about British movies and the Black-ops genre, being famous for the hit Transporter, Unleashed and The Incredible Hulk and more recently, Now You See Me. True he does not have vast experience in comedy though some of the projects that he has spearheaded have their own sense of wry humor.
The movie is named after a town known as Grimsby which is an actual town for those of you who did not know. Grimsby is a large town and seaport situated on the South Bank of the Humber Estuary and close to the North Sea. The cast of the movie includes Sacha Baron Cohen, Mark Strong, Rebel Wilson, Annabelle Wallis, Ian McShane as well as David Harewood. For those who are not familiar with Sacha, he is the main actor in the hit movie, Borat. On June 3rd, Sacha was spotted during the practice in order to film some of the football scenes within the movie.
The main photography for the movie began around June 4th at the North Weald railway station at the Essex area in England. The shooting of the film will last for about six weeks before transferring to South Africa. The movie, though a comedy is not getting all of the popular ratings at this time because of Cohen's portrayal of the town. A number of the residents were angry with Cohen after making their town seem like rubbish strewn violent ghetto in which the drunks urinate from the windows and the mothers give the children cans of beer.
